Farsite – Luxury Getaway
The Property
The Queen of Welsh seaside resorts, Llandudno, is in fact a tale of two shores. The bustling North Shore with its splendid Victorian pier, Art gallery, Shops, cafes, restaurants and a renowned theatre. Then the more sedate West Shore with an elegant promenade and blue flag beach.
Farsite, a detached coastal cottage, is set in a superb location opposite the beach on the West Shore, with sea views overlooking Puffin Island and the coast of Anglesey.
It is just a short ten minute walk along a flat, elegant boulevard to the North Shore.
Farsite is the perfect place for families to enjoy a traditional sea side holiday in a well appointed, comfortable home from home.
The front door leads to a porch which is useful for storing buckets and spades or walking boots.

The Area
Just a stride away is the blue flag beach. A large grassed area is perfect for family games. A traditional children’s play ground with play equipment and an adults outdoor gym is a five minute walk away. There is also a pitch and put and a miniature steam railway. This is tucked away out of sight and sound of Farsite. A short walk from Farsite is a beach café, and a pub with an outside seating area to enjoy the marvellous sea views. There is also an excellent restaurant within a five minute walk. A local convenience store and traditional fish and chip shop are within walking distance.
The Great Orme is just a stride away from Farsite. One is able to explore the Orme via a number of different paths of various difficulties.
The very energetic might try Igam ogam, the zig zag path which leads up the side of the Orme and is visible from Farsite. Or try the more gentle invalids walk and stop to enjoy a Welsh cream tea at the cafe on the Orme side. If you a looking for a more relaxing way of enjoying a trip up the Orme take a ride in the Victorian Tram or for the more daring take a cable car ride to the summit. The views will amaze you!
Farsite is the perfect place to enjoy a walking or cycling holiday. There is ample space to store bicycles at the property.
A shore side cycle path outside the property leads to the quaint town of Deganwy and onwards to the medieval walled town of Conwy, with its imposing castle.
Further Afield
Further afield will take you to the Isle of Anglesey, the Snowdonia National Park or the RSPB bird reserve. There are endless opportunities for days out around North Wales, but most of our guests find they put their cars away once they arrive at Farsite as there is so much to see and do in the local vicinity. Some guests are happy just to sit and relax and enjoy the spectacular sea and mountain views that make a holiday at Farsite unique.
Testimonials
Wave Crest
Once again we had a lovely holiday and the cottage was beautiful . We were able to visit many places which we had not been to before including Cheshire Oaks.
We went to Liverpool yesterday as we have never been there before.
We have had an amazing time and didn’t want to leave.
Our number one requirement for anywhere we go on holiday is a beautiful view from wherever we stay, so when we found Farsite online, we knew we had a winner. The reality was even better than the pictures: sitting out in the garden every evening watching the sun set over the sea was a highlight of our holiday. The house itself was spacious, clean and comfortable; the kitchen well-equipped; and the welcome pack very much appreciated as it meant not having to seek out a supermarket immediately after our long drive. We were very lucky with glorious weather all week and didn’t want to spend much time in the car once we got here, so being able to walk into Llandudno or drive to Conwy in quarter of an hour was ideal. Thank you Alison – we are sure we will be back.
We really enjoyed our week staying in Farsite. It’s such a clean and comfortable house, in a great location, with fantastic sea views across to Anglesey.
The house was equipped with everything we needed for our stay, and was beautifully decorated, in calm coastal colours.
When we weren’t out and about, we enjoyed sitting in the comfortable lounge, with its huge window and great views, and eating around the table in the kitchen – also with those views.
It was easy to communicate with the friendly owner, and we really appreciated the welcome pack.
We liked it so much that we’ve booked to stay again next year – and are looking forward to it already!
Another fantastic week at Farsite. Great accommodation in a superb location. Alison yet again went above and beyond to ensure everything was just perfect. The panoramic view in the lounge was the perfect backdrop for a wedding proposal by my now fiance so it will always be our special place. We can’t wait to return.
Farsite’s location is simply wonderful for relaxing in, and it was great to be able to let the boys over to play on the grass or beach so easily. With such an enjoyable base, there was no pressure to always feel we had to be out “doing stuff”, instead simply being able to relax and take in the peaceful view.
We appreciated the comfortable sofas and beds – finding a property with at least king-size beds and no footboards is often more difficult than you would think.
The walk around Great Orme was a real highlight and something we would look forward to repeating, just stunning.
My only suggestion would be the provision of something simple on hand for a rainy day – maybe a small selection of board games/jigsaws and a basic DVD player. Thankfully the weather we had was a lot better than the forecast had looked prior to travelling down – indeed we found we hardly even used the TV in the end, instead just gazing out at the view.
Thanks again for a lovely stay, hopefully we will be able to visit again in the future.

“Games are now available on request.”
We left my elderly parents at Wave Crest in comfort while we went exploring the area. They enjoyed watching the world go by, and the ever changing sea scape.
They enjoyed walking on the flat promenade too on sunny days.
We had some mixed weather and some windy days but we felt warm and comfortable in this glorious setting.
The house is excellent, well appointed and very clean.
We like having a separate sitting room upstairs with fantastic views, while the older generation claim the downstairs sitting room also with great views.
We will return next summer if not before.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Llandudno, despite the strong winds! Adam was so thoughtful in ringing to say that he had increased the heating for us due to our late arrival. The welcome pack was much appreciated. Far Site was a real home from home; the front garden was so colourful and welcoming, and all the rooms were clean and comfortable with picturesque views across to Anglesey. Thank you once again for all your help with the booking etc. We are already looking forward to hopefully being able to spend another week with you sometime in the future (not too distant). Kindest regards, Mr Glenn.
We had a fantastic stay at Farsite and we really hope to visit again soon. The house is in a perfect location with an unbeatable view. Inside, the house is incredibly clean and comfortable with everything needed for a happy holiday. We really aporeciated the high-quality welcome pack and the thoughtful extra items for our children. There is such a lot to do in the area and there are lots of places we still hope to explore.
We have had another great holiday at Wave Crest.
We have booked again for next year. I think that says it all!
Just make sure you arrange another spot of good weather Alison – I’m imagining sitting on the decking with a gin and tonic and watching the sun go down over the sea already.
We very much enjoyed our recent stay at Farsite, which provided a most comfortable home for the week.
We appreciated the well equipped kitchen because we enjoy preparing and cooking food even when we’re away from home. However, although we found 2 tin openers in the kitchen drawer, neither of them were in working order! We also struggled with the small kitchen knives when preparing fruit and vegetables – the blades were not very sharp.
This was our first visit to North Wales, and we found it to be both welcoming and very beautiful.
We didn’t have a car so we made the best of the opportunities for picturesque walks in both East and West Llandudno and around Great Orme. From Little Orme we watched the seals below us in Angel Bay. We also walked along the coast to Conwy, which has a castle and interesting town to explore.
Our favourite trips were by train on the most beautiful route into the Snowdonia National Park. We went to Betws-y-Coed on one day and walked to Swallow Falls and another day we travelled further on the same line to Blaenau Ffestiniog which offered a contrasting but nonetheless interesting landscape well worth seeing. Thoroughly recommend a trip on this inexpensive railway route for the amazing scenery from start to finish!
Note from Alison
Apologies about the tin opener and small kitchen knives. If you had mentioned you needed new ones I would have popped around with them. We always try to check the equipment on each changeover and are happy to rectify any problems immediately.
Thank you for a lovely stay. Farsite is a spacious house and we had a warm and comfortable Autumn break. We wanted for nothing. The view was enchanting. Would definitly return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Farsite which really is a home away from home – I loved the cute kitchen especially which was really cosy for family meal times. The owners gave us so much local knowledge we were spoilt for choice when it came to exploring Llandudno. Highly recommended for a week’s escape!
